Geo. Bldg.) offering some great close up views. I check this lake 3 or 4 times a week on my way to do errands or take my kid to basketball practice. Not sure why it has stayed partially free from ice. Its not a particularly big lake. I bet it was a pretty decent waterfowling place pre-Kentlands. There must be 6 -7 ponds in fairly close proximity. Regulars include Am. Coot, Ring Necks, Buffleheads, Mallards and Ring Billed Gull. A pair of Am. Black Ducks were in the pond just to the north of Lake Placid.
