Not only did we get to the inlet quickly enough to see 4 Razorbills, 2 Red-necked Grebes, the afore-mentioned Ipswich Sparrow, but we alos got to chat with Rob Hilton who was noticeably gratified that his telephone call had resulted in such a quick response! The Razorbills were, at times, as close as 30-40 feet from the north jetty, and at other times 150-200 yards distant, in the tide rips where Bonaparte's Gulls were feeding. The Savannah Sparrow was feeding on the jetty, and the grebes were out near the entrance buoy. We asked Rob to call Bob Ringler's brand new cell number but he must be finished for the day--it wasn't turned on.
