Btw, we had a very small Glaucous once in Portland, Maine when looking at the Ivory Gull -- (initially no one was paying it a lot of mind, because of its competition!) -- it had been passed off as an Iceland until the many gull aficionados, sated by point-blank looks of the Ivory, turned their attention to this bird. It was not much bigger than a Iceland, but (after consideration) definitely a Glaucous based on every separation feature.
