Lee Park) is now blocked by = a padlocked gate on the pedestrian bridge. This entrance will be closed = for approx. 1 year so the bridge can be repaired or replaced and the = high bacteria counts in one area of the park can be solved. The = bacteria in the soil results from too many dogs, or perhaps too many = irresponsible owners. Lake Roland can still be accessed in a couple of different ways. From = the main entrance, one can take a sometimes rough path around the east = side of the lake. And one can walk into the park from Falls Rd. (west = side) or L'Hirondelle Club Way (north side). During my 10 minutes at Lake Roland yesterday, I saw a Mallard and a = Pileated Woodpecker, and I heard a Blue Jay.
