Perhaps the same bird I have seen in the area twice since about Thanksgiving, once in Sandy Spring (just a quick few flaps as the merlin flies) and once more recently in Sunshine (2 flaps, a glide, and a few more flaps). This is not a yard bird, but a "year-yard bird" for the list keepers among us...
