    I visited Piney Run Park and the Liberty Watershed today.  The lakes = at both are still 95+ % ice-covered.

At Piney Run:

Canada Goose  1500
Black Duck  10
Mallard  10
Canvasback  5
Hooded Merganser  12
Common Merganser  5
Coot  1
Ring-billed Gull 35


At Liberty Lake (mostly Baltimore County):

Canada Goose  200
Black Duck  40
Mallard  50
Pintail  5
Bufflehead  1
Hooded Merganser  2
Common Merganser  30
Bald Eagle  1 immature
Coot  1
Ring-billed Gull  125
Herring Gull  2

    There is also a Cooper's Hawk hunting in my neighborhood.  Yesterday = I saw some of its handiwork, a big pile of flicker feathers.  Today I = saw it carry off what appeared to be a robin or cardinal.
