We saw all three scoters, common eiders, red-necked grebes, and at least 5 razorbills (I say "at least" because we were seeing the birds all around, from as far out as the entry buoy to well inside the inlet. Near the end of our stay we actually had 5 birds at the same time in one scope view. We also had another alcid, slightly smaller than the razorbills, somewhat cleaner looking in terms of demarcations between white and black feathering and with a noticeably smaller bill. Fran and I found it about three different times each and saw it for only short periods of time. It was diving, staying under for long periods, and moving relatively long distances during each dive. After long discussions we concluded that we had seen a THICK-BILLED MURRE. We ran into Ellen Lawler from Salisbury who was looking for her life Dovekie--Ellen, I hope you found it! Norm P.S. In an earlier e-mail I mentioned we had no Brown Creepers this weekend for the first time this winter. I of course meant Brown Thrashers. =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Norm Saunders Colesville & West Ocean City, MD marshhawk@att.net=20 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
