I successfully found 6 American Woodcock along the ditches in the field across from the post gas station at the Edgewood Area of APG. I returned at 6 PM to look for flight displays but none were seen/heard. I did however catch a glimpse of a Merlin fly by with a small passerine in its talons there was also a starling in pursuit of the falcon. Just prior I had a Bald Eagle fly throught the same general area. Earlier in the afternoon I came upon a Large-ish blackbird flock that conisisted mostly of handsome males. There were a few Grackles, Robins, Starling, and at least one Rusty Blackbird mixed in. This flock was seen near the horse stables here on post.
