Wilson" Subject: Pintail in Rock Creek in National Zoo MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Both Sunday morning and this morning there was a beautiful male Pintail hanging out with a flock of Mallards in Rock Creek, just below the bridge next to the Spectacled Bear enclosures in the National Zoo. I have never seen one in the Rock Creek in the zoo before. I thought it might have escaped from the ponds around the bird house, but a keeper said that it was wild and has been seen before over the winter, sometimes with a female. Sandy Z.
