The usual assortment prevailed (Herring, Ring-billed, Greater Black-backed, in that order of abundance). I also found Tom (Stock?) who had the Glaucous Gull in his scope (complete with tripod!). A life bird for me! Also in the Tidal Basin were at least 4 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (2 first-winter, 1 second-winter, 1 adult) and two male Red-breasted Mergansers. A male Lesser Scaup was at the gate to the Potomac. When I returned to the office, a Cooper's Hawk was scaring the pigeons off the south Agriculture Building.
