AA Co.), I took a late-dusk walk along the BWI Trail = (north of the airport) from the Andover Overlook to the bottom of the hill, = close to Elkridge Landing Rd. I was hoping to find woodcocks, and was not disappointed, finding at least three. I first saw one near the trail = make a low-level flight at 6:15 p.m., and then it began peenting 5 minutes = later. While it vocalized, I could hear another woodcock above me displaying, = but could not see it. Then a few minutes later I watched one impressive = display lasting about 20 seconds. The entire show was over shortly after = 6:30, but as I trekked back up the hill towards Andover Overlook, another = woodcock went zinging past me. A very pleasing evening that leaves me very hopeful for adding = woodcock to the atlas block tally. This is the same area where I had Bue Grosbeak = and dozens of Grasshopper Sparrows last summer, both confirmed here for = the atlas.
