The Snow Goose is still there -- this afternoon it was about halfway between the boat launching ramp and the east end, at the edge of the ice. Other interesting waterfowl were Common Goldeneye (2 females), the Northern Pintail pair, an American Coot, Buffleheads (2 male, 3 female) and Hooded Mergansers (4 male 6 female), and many Ring-necked Ducks. We didn't see the Green-winged Teal. I was there Tuesday and found the entire western half of the lake ringed by Red-winged Blackbirds calling from the tops of the trees. I even heard some "konk-la-rees" -- spring is coming!
