However, I am want to lower the weight from my current pair -Leica 8x42 Trinovids. The Nikons are definitely brighter than my Leicas but I should say that I don't think my Leicas have ever been the same after returning them to the company to have some work done. When they were returned they just didn't seem guite the same. But it is perhaps my imagination. They are still good bins but binoculars seem to really be improving. Unfortunately the price for a good set of bins is pretty daunting. I am not buying another pair of expensive bins until I try something that basically fits all my requirements : light, optically breathtaking, and comfortable to use and durable and since I am broke at the moment I might as well add -free. Seriously though I am wondering if NIkon will make the 8x32 superior Es waterproof and twist out cups. That was my hope for the 8x32 lxs but they don't fit in my hands.......
