I have been looking for a good 8x32 glass that I could use. Last few years I have had problems with my right wrist. My thinking was that lighter would be better. But I have not found anything that completely satisfied me. The Leica 8x32s are excellent but optically inferior to my present glass 8x42 Leica. The EL 8x32s I haven't seen yet but expectations are high and their price is somewhat inhibiting. The Nikon 32's I tried about a year ago. They seemed great optically but they had a strange grip molded into the plastic that I guess either fits or doesnt and it didn't. Nikon Superior Es eye relief is too long for my eyes. So if there is a new nikon 8x32 I would certainly want to know about it. William Leigh Leightern@aol.com Winchester VA William, The bins I got are the ones that came out about a year ago, the Nikon 8x32 Premier LX, a smaller version of their popular 8x42's. They have an identical looking 10x32 model. My reason for buying them was their exceptional clarity , brightness and optical quality inherent in all Nikon products. I really liked the fast, ultra-smooth focus, the wide field of view (for a mid-size, over 400 ft.) and the close focus. They are really so easy to handle, you can literally bird with one hand (due to their small size and easy focusing). I can't say what it might be about the body style which doesn't fit your hand, but they are so small that they do take some getting used to, especially after years of using porro-prism binoculars. I think now the major companies are all coming out with good, mid-size roofs (as the new Swarovski 8x32) so perhaps eventually you will find one that is comfortable for you. I can only say, a big 2 thumbs up for the Nikon 8x32 LX!
