Last week I camped at Assateague during the big snowstorm. Ok, it wasn't very big but the flakes were huge and the stuff was heavy and wet. Anyway, poked my head out of the tent as soon as the sun rose to witness the snow on the beach and bayberry bushes and a chorus of Redwings celebrating the morning. Worth the trip, even without the Razorbill, Eurasion Widgeon, Ipswich Sparrow, Scoters 'R Us at CBBT, the Gorgeous Redhead (duck) at Chincoteague et al.
