It was perched in a tree near the railroad tracks where it could get good views of both ponds. Also present was a Gadwall, six Northern Shovelers, eight Wood Ducks, Mallards, Canada Geese, and some flyby Ring-billed Gulls. The most unusual bird at Schoolhouse Pond so far this week has been a male Red Breasted Merganser each of the last two mornings.
