What I found were alot of Common Mergansers with both a male and female Red-breasted Merganser mixed in. There is still an ice bar on the Montgomery side, sitting with the Herring Gulls was a 1st going to 2nd year Lesser Black-backed Gull. The birds were stirred up by a Bald Eagle, and the gull settled in Howard County much to my delight. Also observed a light phase Rough-legged Hawk come up into the thurmals with a half dozen Turkey Vultures, as the bird got higher it coasted from Montgomery to Howard and dissapeared in a north easterly dirrection.
