    The heat from the past few days finally cleared the ice from the = local lakes so I visited Piney Run Park and Liberty today.

Piney Run:
    Pied-billed Grebe  1
    Canada Goose  1,600

    Pintail  1
    Green-winged Teal  5
    Canvasback  26
    Redhead  4
    Ring-necked Duck  80
    Lesser Scaup  20

    Hooded Merganser  75
    Common Merganser  275
    Red-breasted Merganser  9
    Ruddy Duck  15
    Coot  20
    Killdeer  1 (heard flying over)
    Ring-billed Gull  15
    Barred Owl  heard 2
    Fox Sparrow  2

Liberty Lake:
    Horned Grebe  2
    Canada Goose  20 (10 pairs)
    Tundra Swan  31 (flying over)
    Wood Duck  (a pair)
    Gadwall  3
    Black Duck  2
    Mallard  7
    Scaup, sp.  2
    Common Merganser  54
    Ring-billed Gull  45
    Fish Crow  56 (flying east across the lake in late afternoon)
