We stopped first at Salisbury landfill which had 4 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (3 adult, 1 1st year), a 1st winter Iceland Gull as well as a possible 1st winter "Nelson's" Gull. I am not completely sure on the last one as the primaries looked a little darker than I would've expected. The gulls at the landfill got put up in flight by an odd assortment of raptors including two sparring Sharp-shinned Hawks. Ocean City was sunny and calm but we arrived on a lowish and falling tide. Razorbill are still there with one being seen for most of the time we were there, off the end of the far breakwater. Very little sign of the eider, with one immature male Common drifting a sufficient distance from the other side of the far breakwater to be seen. Plenty of loons and scoters. There was an immature Peregrine on the red radio tower near the inlet. I also saw my first Laughing Gulls of 2004 in fields alongside Ironshire Rd, a sign of spring on a rather warm day.
