GS BUMED" Subject: More Phoebes MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" This morning, at the Meadowside Nature Center, I observed a phoebe with a large insect in its bill. Yesterday, along the Blue Mash Nature Trail, I watched a female Hooded Merganser struggling to swallow a large crayfish. After 5 minutes of playing with the doomed mudbug, down the hatch it went.
