A partially fogged-out field trip on Saturday morning produced 9 speceis of waterfowl in Perryville includung 30 or so Canvasbacks. best bird of the day was an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull in the parking lot of the North eastr Plaza. Parke John reported a pair of Red-breasted Mergs in the North East Town Park Saturday also. Leslie fisher chimed in on Sunday reporting many Tree Swallows in the Bethel area of Cecil County. At my house in Hances Point a 3rd year Eagle continues to make daily trips to an abandoned Osprey nest. I really hope she decides to use this nest! I have also had Wood Ducks in front of my house on Shelter Cove (North East River) lately. Parke also reported bonies on the Susquehanna Sunday! Speaking of the Susky River, there is a Black Bear frequenting yards in the Conowingo Dam area. So if anyone is out there "gulling" keep an eye out for a 400 lbs Black Bear! here is a link to the story from the Cecil Whig... http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm? newsid=11092205&BRD=1973&PAG=461&dept_id=214849&rfi=6 ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
