For a 7 or 8 minute period we had almost constant vocal or flight activity in several directions. Our vantage point was atop the grassy mound of dirt across from the RWD building in the Research Park. Woodcocks have now been observed at UMBC for two weeks this season, first seen this year by Charlie on 26 Feb. This is similar to what we experienced last year, and marks this campus as a hub of activity for SW Baltimore Co. Charlie also reported seeing an E. PHOEBE near the storm water pond earlier this evening.
