The fearless little Pine Warbler was a real treat. I then drove over to North Beach where the only excitement was a pair of copulating Ospreys. Tried for something down Leitches Wharf Road -- but the Ospreys dominated land and water. (!) No cormorants left on the power stanchions. Just (!) Ospreys. (I find that OSprey is another bird name I'm inclined to use as singular or plural. Probably my age.) Got home to Scientists' Cliffs, where I stopped by the beach to scan the water. (Great visibility today.) I had just told myself that I needed to be patient if I wanted to see a Gannet when one appeared in the distance, soaring above the water. There were several Old--ah, Long-tailed Ducks, Surf Scoters, and Bufflehead also.\\ Sue Hamilton Calvert County __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
