To get there get onto I-195 westbound (towards Catonsville) and take the last exit, clearly marked "UMBC" on the green sign. From the exit ramp, take your first right into the Research Park, and park along the curb on the right, just prior to the construction gate, with the RWD building to your left rear. On your right there will be some grassy mounds, and beyond them a field of tall vegetation (I have no idea what that stuff is), and beyond that (to the south) some woods. Any of the open area just mentioned is where the woodcocks are most active, but they also vocalize from any of the nearby woods, particularly the woods to your left front. Right now the prime time for activity should be between 6:30 and 7 p.m. Good luck.
