Birds of interest included: Double-crested Cormorant - about 20 in a tight flock Gadwall Northern Pintail - 2 females, not positively IDed Common Merganser - about 10 Red-breasted Merganser - 1 male Bald Eagle - 1 adult, perched then soaring Great Black-backed Gull - 2 adults; 1 chased the 2nd away Fox Sparrow Swamp Sparrow The strong breeze probably limited our variety of birds (only 24 species in 2 hours), but I am starting to think that these ponds may be the best area of the whole PSVP for birding.
