Date: Sun, 14 Mar 2004 22:30:06 -0500 Reply-To: Maryland Birds & Birding Sender: Maryland Birds & Birding From: Les Roslund Subject: Talbot County Birds of 14 Mar 04 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Ten birders enjoyed a beautiful morning of birding in the = Bay Hundred region of Talbot County with the Talbot County Chapter of MOS. = A total of 60 species were sighted or heard. =20 Highlights: Common Loons and Horned Grebes in good numbers Many high-flying flocks of Tundra Swans Numerous Duck species - Wood Duck, Green-winged Teal, Mallard, Lesser Scaup, Long-tailed Duck, all three Scoters, Common Goldeneye, Bufflehead, Hooded Merganser and Red-breasted Merganser Osprey Bald Eagles (at least 8 for the morning) Four Gull species - BONAPARTE'S, Herring, Ring-billed and Great Black-backed Golden-crowned Kinglets (great views) Eastern Meadowlark Les Roslund was trip leader.
