The RED-HEADED WOODPECKER, BLUE-WINGED TEAL, and WILSON'S SNIPE cited in previous messages continue at the gardens. An OSPREY was hunting in the marsh and an EASTERN PHOEBE was catching insects over the impoundments. Other waterfowl in the marsh included HOODED MERGANSER and BUFFLEHEAD. FOX SPARROWS seemed more abundant than usual and YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS were in the largest numbers I have seen there since November.
