They apparently departed over night. Three Snow Geese were present, first located by Stan Arnold. Two flew off with Canadas at 7:20, an apparent adult and one immature. One lingered, appeared to be near adult, but also flew off with Canadas at 7:30. All were white phase. The Pintails were still present, as well as three Ring-necked Ducks, three Pied-Billed Grebes, two Coots. A small duck, in poor light and light fog presented i.d. challenges, with theories floated about Green-winged Teal and Ruddy Duck. Jo Solem and company found a female Common Merganser, which I did not see. Boats were beginning to multiply, so outside of the wildlife area, there probably won't be much waterfowl action today.
