However, there were several E. Phoebes about and I thought I heard some warbling down the road. Heading over to the confier collection by the Watnong Collection along the road I saw and heard two Pine Warblers. They were still singing when I departed at 11:00 a.m. One seemed to be defending one side of the road, and the other was opposite. Also encountered: Downy Woodpecker Red Bellied Woodpecker Yellow Bellied Sap Suckers Pileated Woodpecker Juncos White Throated Sparrows Song Sparrows Cardinal Ruby Crowned Kinglets Fish Crow Grackles Red Shouldered Hawk Turkey Vulture Yellow Rumped Warbler Mocking Bird at the visitors center with some impressive songs. One sounded like the tremolo of a Screech Owl. Mourning Doves Robins Starlings Canada Geese on the river Mallard flyovers And I thought I heard a Red-Breasted Nuthatch in the distance, but never saw it.
