There wasn't much to see due to the wind, I guess. But I did see some Song Sparrows, Common Ravens and Eastern Bluebirds. (I don't have exact counts - I was too busy enjoying two hours away from the kids!) There were a couple of birds calling and answering that I spent about an hour and a half on eNature.com trying to identify. As new as I am to birding, I'm even newer at identifying bird calls and songs, so forgive me! Hopefully some of you who can help me out there are musicians, because that's the only context I can put it in. What I heard was like "tri-pe-let, tri-pe-let, tri-pe-let, cheep" with the triplet going from high to low, and the cheep being higher. It was repeated many times back and forth. I'd recognize it if I heard it. Can anyone out there narrow it down and maybe give me another website that I can check for calls? Thanks in advance! Leslie Keedysville, MD PS Thanks to you who suggested Snavely Ford Trail. It was beautiful. And best of all, it's only 5 minutes away from my home! I'll be returning later this spring. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
