While I was off I mangae to spy a few interestings thigs in and around my yard on Hances Point south of North East in Cecil County. On the morning of the 16th I found a lone Eastern Phoebe bug-hunting on the mud flats in front of my house. 4 Hooded Mergansers also came in to the cove that day. On the 18th we had Wood Ducks and our first Osprey of the year for the yard! The Osprey was seen again on the 19th in a nest that has been used successfully the last two years. Also on the 19th were 2 Wood Duck and 2 Blue-winged Teal. BLTE are not often seen in my yard so they were exciting to see! One more note is that ospreys are now being seen calling and displaying through-out the North East River Area. Good Birding, Chris Starling PS: I had two Killdeer today at the Edgewood Area of APG this morning in Haford County... ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
