Also consider White-throated Sparrow. In musical notation, the song sounds like: Do Laaaaa, tri-pe-let, tri-pe-let, tri-pe-let (with the trip-pe-lets also starting on La and the middle note slightly lower.) Pitches vary somewhat from individual bird to bird, and since there was more than one bird singing, it would be possible to hear something like tri-pe-let, tri-pe-let, tri-pe-let, La. As new as I am to birding, I'm even newer at identifying bird calls and songs, so forgive me! Hopefully some of you who can help me out there are musicians, because that's the only context I can put it in. What I heard was like tri-pe-let, tri-pe-let, tri-pe-let, cheep" with the triplet going from high to low, and the cheep being higher. It was repeated many times back and forth. I'd recognize it if I heard it. Can anyone out there narrow it down and maybe give me another website that I can check for calls? Thanks in advance!
