The 4 Horned Grebes were still present, all molting, with one approaching breeding plumage. I found 3 Pied-billed Grebes, 3 Ring-necks, the usual Pintails, 2 Coots, and a female Common Merganser. No sign of Phoebes (though did have 2 in the yard earlier this afternoon) or Tree Swallows. There's been a female C. Merg at Centennial off and on since Thursday. Has she been present for 4 days straight? And are those Pintails setting up housekeeping? Wouldn't THAT be a nice BBA record!
