This is a time of year that is poorly documented. One goal of the trip is to look for Great Skua. This is the time of year when large schools of Herring and Mackerel, along with attendant Gannets, are moving north. We're hoping that Great Skuas comes north with these schools. Other targets of the trip are lingering alcids such Razorbill, Puffin, Dovekie, and murres, Fulmar, Greater Shearwater, Red Phalarope, Gannets, Kittiwakes, winter gulls, whales, and dolphins. Time will be spent in both DE and MD waters. Here are the details. Time: 6:00 AM - about 5:00 PM Cost: $100 Boat: 85' Thelma Dale IV The four trips we ran this winter out of New Jersey and Delaware had Fulmar (2 trips), Kittiwake (3 trips), Razorbill (3 trips), Common Murre (3 trips), Puffin (2 trips), and Dovekie (2 trips). This seems to be a decent alcid year so hopefully we'll find lingering birds. Some of the Razorbills we saw out out Cape May on March 14 were in full breeding plumage. We also saw nice numbers of Atlantic White-sided Dolphin on March 14. For further information, E-mail us at info@paulagics.com, call us, or see our web site. -Paul Paul A.
