Here is what was seen: Tanyard Marsh, Rte 331, Caroline Co.: Horned Grebe--2 (on river; one in near-breeding plumage) DC Cormorant--1 over river Am. Black Duck--2 (on river) Green-winged Teal--100+ Greater Yellowlegs--3 Lesser Yellowlegs--1 W. Snipe--15 Ospreys and Laughing Gulls were the most visible of avian forms Tuckahoe Lake, Tuckahoe State Park, Caroline Co.: Snow Goose--5 or so with Canadas; two appeared to have broken wings Am. Coot--7 E. Phoebe--2 Pine Warbler--many singing north of Tuckahoe Lake along Cherry Lane, Caroline Co.: Barred Owl--1 or 2 responded to my calls Yellow-bellied Sapsucker--1, probably responding to owl calls Talbot Co., where Mullet Br. Rd. crosses Kings Creek, just east of Easton: Barred Owl--called in for a close look Kent Co., on Walter Ellison's owl prowl at Eastern Neck NWR-- Great Horned, Screech (superb views), and Virgina Rail (2).
