Got the tick for this nest last year, so YCNH are confirmed for the block. I see you copped out on Saturday's walk also. I had every intention of going until I saw the rain Sat. morning. So I stayed home and did lots of USEFUL things. Great sightings in CA: we had a pair of wild turkeys, the male in full display doing a very slow and majestic rotation to show off his glory. WOW, was he cool!!! At one park we heard a very loud insistent song but could find no bird to go with it. Later we were reviewing songs of targets and accidentally played the song with no birdie: wrentit. Smallish brown bird usually heard, but NOT seen. Chaparrel skulker. Well, we went to the chaparrel with no luck. We spent the longest time watching a pair of birds working on a nest in deep shadow and had to decide they were bushtits, not wrentits. We returned to the car and target birdie was singing madly CLOSE to the car. Our patience paid off and eventually the Wrentit perched up just long enough for us to get a look. Wrentits look HUGE compared to Bushtits. Hope your AZ trip was profitable.
