Glad to know (and I figured) someone is keeping records on arrival dates, etc. Is that the yellow book info? Do you any rough / general expected arrival (or passer's thru) listing for Washington Co (which is the K'ville side I'm on - strange 'town'...no PO, 1/2 F'rick Co, 1/2 Wash Co.) If you're ever out this way, give a shout. We have a trail right out our back door up to the AT / S.Mtn state park lands, plus the old growth chestnut oak / birch boulderfields (~50 acres) are about 20 minutes upslope. Some monsters up there in the 4-5' range. I work in New England every other week or so, so advance notice is great. Where do you live? We get so few reports from that part of the state it will be good to learn what you are seeing. I was up to Knoxville/Weverton a week ago to check out the river. Only Common Mergansers sitting on the rocks that day. By the way, in which county are you? I also keep all the arrival and departure date records for the counties. For instance the earliest report of White-eyed Vireo in Frederick County is April 18 and the earliest for Washington County is April 15. So you can expect them in about three weeks or so. Hope to see you some time soon.
