    A short walk this morning produced a few new birds.  Here is a = partial list:

Great Blue heron  1
Mandarin Duck  1 drake splashed down in the South Branch of the Patapsco = rather unexpectedly Phoebe  a pair with a nest on a park announcement board, no eggs yet Brown Creeper  continuing to migrate through Golden-crowned Kinglet  ditto Yellow-rumped Warbler  1, first of the season Yellow-throated Warbler  1 heard singing in same territory as two days = ago Palm Warbler  1 yellow, first of the season here White-throated Sparrow  also continuing to migrate Junco  ditto
