Returning from Ohio on Sunday, November 2, I stopped at Deep Creek Lake, the Frostburg Reservoir, and Rocky Gap State Park. At all three American Coots were numerous, Ruddy Ducks were around in scattered numbers, and there were a few Canada Geese. There were NO other waterfowl on any of the lakes. The highlight was 3 BLACK VULTURES soaring low over the small shopping center at McHenry, just north of Deep Creek Lake. This is my first record for Garrett County.
