Speaking of Sharp-shinneds feeding at feeders:

Some time ago, a male and a female chased an Evening Grosbeak into
one of our windows.  On the inside, I thought they were coming
through.  It killed all three birds.  Three beautiful, but very
dead, birds wound up in the freezer at the Battle Creek Cypress
Swamp Nature Center waiting for the taxidermist.
