(Fwd) Red Crossbills at Broad Creek

Fellas',
     Russ Kovach and I attempted to locate the White-winged Crossbills
at Broad Creek this morning.  We got there at about 0800 and stayed
until 0900. Unfortunately, we didn't find any White-wings but we did
turn up a flock of 3 adult male Red Crossbills.  They were in the tops
of the white pines approximately 100 m behind the caretakers house. 
The small flock quietly moved around the general area so they could be
tough to find unless you're listening closely for their calls.
     A flock of 8 Pine Siskins flew over while we were following the
crossbills.
