There were probably more birders than crossbills at the Deer Park rd.
location this morning (Saturday), but nonetheless several birders got
good looks at White-winged Crossbills.  The show started about 8 a.m and
tapered off around 10.  I personally saw several White-wings (males and
females) but no Reds.  I had so much fun chasing them around I think
I'll give it another shot next week.  These birds are definitely worth
getting up @ 3 A.M. and driving four hours for.
