There have been some long and involved discussions going on over on BIRDCHAT about the ABA and the direction they appear to be taking of late. A letter to ABA members was drafted by a group of concerned ABA members to make sure that everyone knew there were two sides to the issue of the Paul Lehmann firing. Individuals in just about every state (including Maryand) volunteered to send these letters out to the membership. My question is this: has any ABA member in Maryland actually SEEN this letter? I know we have two volunteers for Maryland, but I've yet to see the letter other than electronically. If we're concerned about ABA leadership, then informing the membership of our concerns would seem to be a necessity. Cheers, Norm Saunders =============== Norm Saunders Colesville, MD osprey@ari.net
