I stopped by Pine Knob Rd, Carroll Co, this morning (Monday) from about 9:00 to 10:30, as did several other birding parties. Around 9:30 about 15 Red Crossbills settled into a close pine tree for good looks. Then about a half hour latter about 15 Reds and one male and one female White-wing sat at the top of a nearby deciduous tree for about five minutes. Steve Sanford
