I was at the dam this morning for one hour with local birder who needed Iceland Gull. We were successful, with one adult (Kumlein's) and 2 adult Lesser Black-backs. The Peregrine was still there, and caught a Rock Dove out over the water but lost it. The good news is that the gulls seem to be returning. There were about 4,000 gulls when I left and more were coming in slowly. At least 1500 Herrings in the mix. Rick "Everywhere I go I'm asked if the university stifles writers. My opinion is that they don't stifle enough of them. There's many a bestseller that could have been prevented by a good teacher." Flannery O'Connor Rick Blom rblom@blazie.com Bel Air, Maryland
