Folks,

   Here is another summary from the Harford County Mid-winter
Count....

   Sue Procell and I surveyed Aberdeen Proving Ground in the secure
zone of the Aberdeen Area.  After the lousy weather of the previous
week, the birds must have had cabin fever.  All but one of our
stops turned up something interesting.  Highlights included
an American Woodcock in its display flight (1st sign of spring!),
a flock of 16 Tree Swallows, all 7 woodpeckers including 3 Pileated
and a Red-headed, a flock of 78 Gadwall, a raft of nearly 1100
Ruddy Ducks, 5 meadowlarks, 4 Rusty Blackbirds, and no House
Sparrows.  All told, 71 species.  Here's the totals:
