Today was an interesting bird day.  First, about a dozen Purple Finches turned
up at my feeder, just a month early from when they usually show.

This afternoon I discovered a flock of at least 30 American Robins about a
half mile away.  I have been seeing single birds in this location all
"winter".  Never more than two at a time.

I can't imagine what these birds are eating, because about the only berries
left are low quality holly berries.  And none of the birds was on the ground
"worming".
