On Tuesday there was an Arlington County van trip to Point Lookout. There were more ducks than we have ever seen there. Most of the ducks were easily seen from the fishing pier. Here are some of the birds we saw: Eared Grebe, one, at the point on the right side near the pilings. Common Loon, many Horned Grebes, many Greater Scaup, 100+ Oldsquaw, 100+, also vocal Surf Scoter, 100+ Common Goldeneye, 100+ Bufflehead, 100+ Red-breasted Merganser, 2 In the picnic area: Brown-headed Nuthatch Pine Warbler
