Today (Sunday the 22nd) we saw 5 RING-NECKED DUCKS, 3 RUDDY DUCKS, and 40+ AMERICAN COOTS at Black Hills Regional Park. At Lilypons, the same day, there was 1 LESSER-BLACK BACKED GULL among several Ring-billed and Herring. It was smaller than a Great Black Backed Gull and close to the size of the Herrings around it (we saw it from about 100 yds.) When it stretched its wing I saw black primary tips with no white band between them and the dark gray back and wing color. The legs were yellowish, and muddy, but not pink. Matt O'Donnell Burke, VA
