Francine, .pdf stands for "Portable Document Format" and is a format for files pioneered by Adobe. In order to see these files online at your machine or on the web through your browser, you need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader program installed on your machine. The program is free from Adobe (they charge for the more complex program that lets you create pdf files, but they want everyone to be able to read them....grin) and since we are making greater and greater use of pdf files on the MOS website (as are many other websites) it would be a good idea for you to get and install the program. Fran has a link on the web page that will go directly to Adobe's site and allow you to download the program. I have to admit it took me some browsing to locate that link, so here is the place to look for it: http://www2.ari.net/saunderf/mos/mdlist.html#adobe We provide the MOS press releases and the back issues of the MD Yellowthroat (except for calendar entries) in .pdf format, so once you have the program, check them out! Check them out and let us know what you think. If you have further questions, don't be afraid to ask! Norm P.S. I'll print and mail you the conference registration form tomorrow morning. =============== Norm Saunders Colesville, MD osprey@ari.net
